The story so far... Maxine Pinto Peker, a mother of two, has performed for youngsters since 1977.
She was living in New York City and was part of "The Rod and The Rose" puppet theater who performed throughout
the New York City area and at the annual "Renaissance Fair". Although Maxine was trained as a Graphic
Artist, entertaining and teaching children became an important part of her life, from teaching Mom and Tot classes
from 1985-1988, singing with "The Balloons" from 1988-1989 and forming "The Tweedle Dees" in
1991. Terri Goldig, mother of three, has an extensive musical background playing various
instruments such as guitar, piano and recorder. She started performing at the age of ten in her home town of Fredericton,
New Brunswick. While in high school, she gave noon hour performances, eventually landing roles in radio and musical
theater. Terri was also the lead singer with bands in New York City and in Minnesota performing at weddings and
Bar Mitzvah's. Terri earned her B.F.A. in music performance and is also the lead singer with a local
rock band.
The Tweedle Dees are two Moms and musicians who came together with the mutual desire to entertain
and teach young children through their music. It has now been over thirteen years since they began performing together,
and now over seven hundred parties and many Mom and Tot classes later, The Tweedle Dees have not slowed down. They
also perform at many Christmas and Holiday parties and benefit shows. Performing their musical interactive shows,
along with various colourful puppets and props at birthday partys, special events, preschools and daycares has
been a dream come true for both women.
